EON Series was our first ever hosted League with the original name „EON League“ and founded in May, 2024.
Format
Season 1 – 4
The first Season of EON League had twelve teams. All teams are seperated in two groups of six. Once the ten remaining teams are known, they are placed in a double elimination bracket. Every single match is in Bo1 outside of the Semi Final, which is played in Bo3 and Grand Final, which is played in Bo5.
The second Season of EON League had thirty teams. All teams are seperated in three Divisions of ten. Once the top four teams of Division 1, the top two teams of Division 2 and the top two teams of Division 3 are known, they are placed in a single elimination bracket, whilst the top two of Division 1 receive a 2 round bye and the 3rd – 4th place of Division 1 receive a 1 round bye. Every single match is in Bo3 outside of the Grand Final, which is played in Bo5.
The third Season of EON League had 26 teams. All teams are seperated in two Divisions of eight and one Division of ten. Once the top six teams of Division 1, the top six teams of Division 2 and the top two teams of Division 3 are known, they are placed in a double elimination bracket. Every single match is in Bo3 outside of the Grand Final, which is played in Bo5.
The fourth Season of EON League had twenty teams. All teams are seperated in four groups of five. Once the sixteen remaining teams are known they are placed in a swiss bracket. Every single match is in Bo3. Once the remaining eight teams are known they are placed in a single elimination bracket. Every single match is in Bo3 outside of the Grand Final, which is played in Bo5.
Season 5 – current
The fifth Season of EON Series had twenty teams. All teams are seperated in four groups of five. Once the sixteen remaining teams are known they are placed in a swiss bracket. Every single match is in Bo3. Once the remaining eight teams are known they are placed in a single elimination bracket. Every single match is in Bo3 outside of the Grand Final, which is played in Bo5.
